Forza

'Che la forza sia con te.'

Get It

Try It

We've been running this microsite 'Heroes Banquet' for just over ten years. Its purpose, as the tagline says, is to give recognition and praise where it's due.

Now it seems the turn comes to us.

We've published some of the feedback here. There was a lot of feedback back when we ran our newsletter. People got in stitches over the sarcasm and the withering wit.

But this just dropped in.

We don't know who it is, but we do know it's one of our clients.

The letter says it all, but just to be sure:

We started this site to promote a migration away from Windows, a migration to safety, as we believed - and still do believe - that a safe Internet makes a world of difference to the global citizenry. We have more products than most sites - by a long shot - but we've never attempted to give them the standard commercial promotion. If you like it, you'll buy it, and help offset the considerable costs involved in keeping things working.

The licences are unusual, with an average cost per app of under one US dollar. We hack, we program, and above all we teach. It's the fun that's kept us in it, not the cash. We have enough cash already, thank you.

Anyway: the letter.

I've been meaning to write sooner; nonetheless, here it is. I want to thank you all who make Rixstep what it is, what is has been, and (hopefully) what it will continue to be. Hands down, you are the 'Grandmasters'! We all know that Apple have created a monster, but if there's anyone I can trust to keep me safe from hell's gates, it's Rixstep (all inclusive). I realise I'm just an individual, a small notch in the client base, but I know I'm not alone in expressing my gratitude and continued support.

Not only do I hope that you 'stay in the fight', I hope that as time goes on you are doing everything possible so that your legacy continues. This fight will likely continue for much longer, yet I believe the world is changing for the better. My outlook is positive. We have, after all, come a very long way as far as history can tell, and the rate of change is exponential.

Thanks once again for continuing to stand strong, even when it feels like all hope is lost. There will always be a dark side, but only where there is absence of light. Please keep shining bright!!! Cheers, my friends!

And... 'May the Force be with you!' :D
