Of course there are Apple fanboy sites who've already heaved a sigh of relief over this one - there doesn't seem to be anything substantial with the promo. As if all those multimillionaire pinstripes concoct totally vacuous ad campaigns that just waste money and no more.
Yeah it could be that simple but put the fanboys in one corner and put Microsoft's ad gurus in the other and there aren't many who will bet on the fanboys.
Which of course isn't to say Microsoft will make much headway in the consumer market. Then again these ads aren't targets at fanboys - they're targeted at the enterprise where - hush hush - the big money has always been and will always be.
And in that market Apple aren't even a registered contender.
