Read a Book, Take a CourseI couldn't walk and I tried to run. - John Lennon
New technologies can be tricky. Sometimes you have to take a step back and let things come to you. You can't approach them with a hidden agenda.
When learning new programming languages, APIs, and operating systems - and no matter some suit's told you to learn something because you're going to write this BIG PROJECT - you have to clear your mind. Put the rest of the agenda out of your mind.
Read a book. Take a course. Better to start with reading a book. The course won't be necessary if you're any good. Get the right book, kick back - and disconnect. Never rush into things - never try to run before you can walk.
