Safari 2.0.3 on 10.4.6 cannot only fall ingloriously, it can also bring down the entire operating system, a feat of considerable prowess considering OS X is supposed to be using protected memory.

If you're at this page with Safari - and you actually see this page - then you know you're not affected by Yannick's POC. If you don't see this page - or if something really weird happens to your system - then you know you're affected.

Follow the instructions on the previous page to check your filesystem and then go on with life as usual - but remember: until Apple fix this four month old hole, any site at all, any page at all can have a trap embedded within.
