WWDC: Apple's challenge to Microsoft
Hasta la vista, Vista?
MOSCONE WEST (Rixstep) -- With Apple's World Wide Developers Conference only nanoseconds away, pre-show speculation grows to a hysteric intensity, many 'Mac' zines talking about Apple's challenge to Microsoft.
There is no challenge to Microsoft. None. Not as long as Apple continue to pursue their course of hardware lock-in.
The current 2% demographic is about as good as it gets.
And as long as Apple stick to proprietary releases of formerly open source software, they're not going to win over academia or the research sector either.
But hey - maybe there'll be a new iPod.
