Foxes & Fossils: 2 Million

It took a while, but finally...

Get It

Try It

SMYRNA (Rixstep) — Maggie Adams noticed a change in the YouTube algorithm. Suddenly the hits started pouring in. Word spread. This site wrote about them some two years ago, back when their masterpiece had close to but not quite six hundred thousand views. Five days later it hit six hundred thousand.

Since then, day in, day out, month in, month out, that first article has been getting thousands of views. People write to ask why this website, so far away, should cover a cover group in Georgia. The answer's always the same: 'just listen'.

They're sort of reunited now. Sort of. They're too spread out as things stand - in Iowa, Massachusetts, Tennessee, Virginia, and Georgia - but they did get together over the summer to put together some seven tracks for later consumption, with both video and audio.

2 Million

Their 'Suite: Judy Blue Eyes' finally hit two million views right before noon, London time, Monday 3 February 2020. The clip was uploaded Thursday 8 July 2010, almost ten years ago.

That was their first gig ever. They took along a camera crew because they reckoned it was a 'one-off' thing.

They didn't even have a name for the act when they went on stage.

They'd been rehearsing for two months.

Graham Nash found out about them three years later through his sister and immediately got in touch.

You can read and hear all about it and everything else about them at their new website.
