What's Maynor Doing?

Now he's perpetrating hoaxes?

The following is a screen dump taken from David Maynor's blog. It supposedly shows how Safari for Windows crashes.

But the line reading as follows is a format string. And it's not been filled in.

ERROR_CODE: (NTSTATUS) 0xc0000005 - The instruction at "0x%08lx" referenced memory...

The '0x%08lx' is supposed to be filled in with the address of the instruction that caused the crash. The '0x' prefix is taken literally; the '%' introduces an argument on the stack to be formatted; and the '08lx' specifies at least eight digits with lower case hexadecimal from a long integer. It's a standard sprintf type of format string.

Either Microsoft are incredibly sloppy and can't produce diagnostics for any of their many crashes or this picture is a hoax.
