Apple's 10.6.2 Snow Leopard update is a monster.
For someone on dial-up (and it's been said half the people in the US still don't have broadband) then the download for them can take up to twenty (20) hours. 10.6.2 has to be one of the biggest ever.
Here are peeks at the target volume before and after the cleanup of 10.6.2.
The difference in free/available blocks represents 11.360 MB won back by cleaning out unsolicited files.
All told there were 13,731 items either 'changed' or modified by the update.
Changes to 'Core Foundation' may mean trouble for third party developers. More on that later.
